The Kingfisher is a 31 foot Palm Beach with full electronics, tower and outriggers.. She is the ideal fishing machine for the calm pacific waters off of Playa Carrillo. Offering ample shade and room for up to 4 anglers, she is set up for the serious fisherman as well as the novice angler.
The deep sea fishing can be quite good the whole year, but our peak time, especially in terms of how many boats are here is December through June. The months of January and February tend to produce the most significant amount of marlin, but the sailfish, dorado, and tuna are found year round sometimes in amazing numbers. It's not unusually to catch Yellow fin Tuna that push the 250 pound mark, although under 100 lbs. is more normal.
We are primarily a billfish destination, as the thousands of anglers that flock to Costa Rica each year will attest to. The prolific blue waters of this small country holds host to over 18 IGFA billfish records.
