PALO VERDE NATIONAL PARK

If you want to see a variety of animals Palo Verde National Park is a great option. You will have the opportunity to see different species in their own habitat like monkeys, birds, iguanas, deer, crocodiles, and more.

You will have the company of excellent guides that will navigate you down the river by boat. This is a great way to experience and appreciate the variety of different species within Costa Rica.

Palo Verde National Park encompasses one of the most important wetlands of Central America. Throughout the year the rivers, mangroves, marshlands of resident and migrant water birds sharing their world of land and water are animals such as white – tailed deer, coyote, white nosed coatimundi, howler and white faced monkey, iguanas and crocodiles.

Once of the easiest and most rewarding ways to explore Palo Verde is by covered pontoon boat on the Tempisque River which borders the National Park.

The tour passes through a wide variety of habitats, including pastureland and mangroves.
