If you want to see a variety of animals Palo Verde
National Park is a great option. You will have the
opportunity to see different species in their own
habitat like monkeys, birds, iguanas, deer, crocodiles,

will navigate you down the river by boat. This is

of different species within Costa Rica.
Palo Verde National Park encompasses one of the most
important wetlands of Central America. Throughout
the year the rivers, mangroves, marshlands of resident
and migrant water birds sharing their world of land
and water are animals such as white – tailed
deer, coyote, white nosed coatimundi, howler and white
faced monkey, iguanas and crocodiles.
Once of the easiest and most rewarding ways to explore
Palo Verde is by covered pontoon boat on the Tempisque
River which borders the National Park.
The tour passes through a wide variety of habitats,
including pastureland and mangroves.
Wildlife is plentiful from tiny hummingbirds feeding
at heliconia flowers, to huge and flamboyant pink
Roseate Spoonbills.
